We are in the process of transcribing the Wedmore Parish Records.
The records were originally divided into three separate volumes, baptisms, marriages and burials.
The orignal records are complete and represent all the records available for this time period in Wedmore, Somerset, England.

I've also charted the baptisms, marriages and burials, so that you can see how they break down
on a monthly basis.

The calendar being used is the current one. That means that someone born on January 2, 1581 in the original records will now appear as being born January 2, 1582. For the purists I am sorry, but it was too difficult to keep straight in the database program.

Please read Rev. S. A. H. Hervey's original introductions to each of the three volumes.
He did a great deal of work and his comments are both informative and amusing.
All spellings in all transcripts are the same as the originals. The letter F in the "olden" days was, in fact, written as ff, that is not a mistake.

A big thanks to my Mother, Ruth Ann, and her husband, Arnold, who spent a lot of time doing some pretty serious inputting for very little pay (actually...no pay!!!!!).
